Compassion is when you feel sad for someone who has lost something, or happy for someone who has gained something. When you have compassion, you care about someone. A girl in our school had her house burn down. She lost everything, all her toys and clothes. We feel compassion for her because we feel sad for her. Compassionate: Ty's dog died. Devin felt sorry for him and gave him a hug to make him feel better. Uncompassionate: Ty's dog died. Devin laughed at him and thought it was funny. He made Ty feel worse.
