Dependability is knowing that you can trust someone to do a job. Mrs. Gibson asks one of us to help her bring things into her classroom. That means that she depends on us to help her work.

Dependable: Mrs. Miller asked Ty and Devin to empty her trash. She knew that they would not spill it and would be careful. She knew that they would not waste time and would come back to class after emptying the trash.

Undependable: Mrs. Miller asked Ty and Devin to empty her trash. They spilled it all down the hallway. They stopped to play. They were gone from class for a long time, and forgot to bring the trash can back.
