Being honest means saying things that are true. Sometimes it’s hard to be honest, but it is the right thing to do. You can be honest and be kind at the same time.

Honest:  Ty and Devin got in an argument. Their teacher fussed at them. Ty and Devin told the teacher that they were arguing and then they said they were sorry.

Dishonest: Ty and Devin got in an argument. Their teacher fussed at them. Ty said, "Devin hit me!" Devin said, "I did not!" The teacher did not know who was telling the truth. They were both in trouble and had to miss recess.
