Patience is when you wait without fussing. If you stomp your feet and fuss and say, “I want it right now,” you are not being patient. Patient: Devin and Ty waited in line to use the restroom. They didn't wiggle or fidget. They were quiet while they were waiting. They were patient. Impatient: Ty and Devin waited in line to use the restroom. They wiggled and fidgeted. They talked and played with each other while they waited. They made a lot of noise because they didn't want to wait.
