I come to school each day
To work, to study, and to learn.
I know that what I do today,
And how I act today,
Determines the adult I will one day become.
I will listen and follow directions.
I will read much and study hard.
I will respect my teachers and my classmates -
Saying, "Thank you" and "Please,"
"I'm sorry" and "Excuse me."
My friends, at times, may laugh at me,
But I don't really care.
You see, I am special.
I am a Wacona student with a lot to learn,
And a lot to share.
Because my life is mine,
And the only one I have,
I'm going to make the very best
Of today and every day.
I will stand strong, and be
The best person I can be.
I will do this for my family.
I will do this for my school.
But most of all, I will do this for me.
