Emoticons

Emoticons are icons that show emotion.
People use them in emails
or when chatting.
Here are some examples:
(Hint:  if you can't see the image,
tilt your head slightly to the left.)

Smiley
:o) Smiley with a nose
:(  Unhappy face
:o(  Unhappy face with a nose
;-) Wink
:-O  Screaming
:-D  Laughing
:-p Sticking tongue out
:-l Indifferent
@-}--- Rose
>^..^<  Cat
^5 High Five

Some emoticons are done with letters
like these:

*S* = Smile
*L* = Laugh
*LOL* = Laughing out loud
*ROFL* = Rolling on the floor laughing
*G* = Grin
*W* = Wink
*K* = Kiss
*H* or ((hugs)) = Hug

There are also abbreviations that chatters use:

BRB = Be right back
WB = Welcome back
G2G = Got to go
TY = Thank you
BTW = By the way
CUL8R = See you later
IMHO = In my humble opinion

Another tip when writing emails or
chatting is to remember that
WRITING IN ALL CAPS
is considered to be shouting,
and is rude.  Use caps and lower case
or all lower case.
