I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1981 from Florida State University and a Master's degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University in Minnesota. 

I have been teaching for 28 years in the elementary schools. I taught 3rd grade for 17 years,  5th grade for 2 years, and 9 years in gifted education. 

Awards
I was honored to be named Teacher of the Year for Ware County school system in 1999.

Personal
I have 2 boys, ages 14 and 23. They are my pride and joy in my life. Joshua my oldest is attending Georgia Tech University with a major in computer engineering.  My youngest is an honor student at Ware County High presently in 9th grade. As for pets, I have a Yorkie, named Fred (7 years old), and 4 black cats - Sonny & Cher (5 years old),  Spice & Pepper (4 years old), and Tiger (2 years old)

Extracurricular Activities
Along with my responsibilities at school, I am music director at Trinity United Methodist Church. I work with 2 children's choirs, several dance ministries, 1 adult chancel choir, and musical ensembles.
