Dear Parents,
Parents may
request to the principal of the school information regarding the professional
qualifications of their child's classroom teacher or paraprofessional in the
following areas:
Whether the teacher has met state qualifications for
certification at the grade level(s) and subject areas that they teach.
Whether the
teacher is teaching under a certificate that waives the qualifications and
criteria for certification.
The baccalaureate
degree major or other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher and
the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
Whether their child is provided services by paraprofessionals
and, if so, their qualifications.
