Kyle What is good nutrition? To have good nutrition, you need to eat all of the nutrients. It is important that you have carbohydrates because it gives you energy. You also have to have protein because protein is the thing that helps your bones to get strong. You have to have fats too because it is the thing that gives you energy. If you want to be healthy, then you better eat a lot of vitamins because they are healthy. Minerals are the only thing that keeps your body from breaking down. A person needs water to live because water cleans your body system. Now, you now the nutrients and what they do and you will see why we need all the nutrients. Carbohydrates- Carbohydrates is one of the main sources of our bodies’ energy. They can be found in things like starches and sugars. They can be found in foods such as breads, cereals, grains, milk, cheese, yogurt, and the vegetable group. These foods are the ones that have the carbohydrates that give us energy. Proteins- Proteins are found in foods such as beef, lamb, pork, poultry, fish, shellfish, dairy products, and soy. They form the major building blocks of muscles, skin, and tendons. They also help you grow and heal wounds.Fats- Fat comes from anything that is made of sugar and that is starchy. Fats are found in foods such as rice, potatoes, and sweets. All the fatty foods give you energy to let you go out and play with your friends but they are not good for your body. Vitamins- Vitamins come in healthy foods such as the green and yellow vegetables and fruits. Vitamins help to make a more healthy body. The only way to have a healthy body is to eat a good selection of vegetables and fruits.Minerals- Minerals are found in green vegetables, liver, beef, and lots of other sources. If you do not have Zinc, Iron, Magnesium, and calcium then your body will break down and you will not have a healthy body as needed. Water- A person can get some liquid from fruits and vegetables, but it is essential for a healthy body to drink 8 glasses of water a day.
