Ground

Ground pollution is when harmful trash or waste is put on or in the ground. It affects the soil by taking away vitamins and minerals that we need. Without these vitamins and minerals, plants won’t grow.

We have to take special care of our soil so that we have healthy plants to eat. We also need healthy trees to produce the oxygen that we breathe.  (picture of replanted pines)

Take some time to walk along a road and pick up trash that you see. Plant a pretty garden of flowers or vegetables and take care of it. You will learn to appreciate our land more, and will be taking good care of the soil.
