Welcome to a brand new,
exciting school year! It is always wonderful to think about how much a new
class will learn and grow and mature during the fourth grade. By working
together, the children will conquer a multitude of goals: not just the
academic part, but also organization and study skills and an overall
confidence. We will all be proud of their accomplishments; and I am thrilled to
begin a new year with such a great group of students.
During the 1st Six Weeks, please help out by checking the homework assignment sheets daily. Be sure to see that they have completed homework by themselves, then check over it and help with any problems they may be having. Please listen to your child read aloud and remember, they are never too old to be read to. They may want to reread something we have read in class that day. Multiplication fact mastery is critical to so many other math skills we will learn; so practice, practice, practice! Remember - mastery means they know the facts as well as they know their name! Thank you, parents and students, for helping to make this a terrific year. By working together, we will accomplish great things.
