     President Franklin D. Roosevelt was married to Eleanor Roosevelt.  He worked hard a president.  He had polio and trouble walking.  He became President during the Great Depression.  His New Deal was aimed at helping Americans get out of the Great Depression.  President Roosevelt tried to keep the Americans out of  World War II.  The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor caused the United States to go to war anyway. His vision for America after the war helped America to become a world super power.
