Our community is a small town called
Waycross, Ware County, Georgia, U.S.A. We are near the Okefenokee
Swamp. That is what is different about our community. Our community
is surrounded by the swamp and a lot of pine trees. We have a lot of
animals that you don't find in many other places, like the
alligator.
We are
also different because we have a lot of railroads. All of our
streets are arranged around the railroad tracks. Waycross has the
largest rice yard in the southeast. A rice yard isn't really about
rice. It is a place where trains meet to connect and go to the
places they need to go to.
We
like our community!
