Providence Canyon

A long time ago, there was an ocean in Georgia. It carved out bits of land, and left a canyon behind. This canyon is called Providence Canyon, or Little Grand Canyon. It is near Lumpkin, Georgia. It has sixteen canyons altogether.

Brevard fault zone

A fault is where pieces of the earth's crust move. The Brevard fault zone is located in Georgia as well as Alabama and North Carolina. This fault, fortunately, is not very active. The last time it moved was millions of years ago. It contains a lot of granite rock.
