The Peidmont is located in the middle part of Georgia. It begins just where the Mountain region stops. Peidmont means “at the foot of the mountain.” That’s because it is located at the bottom of the Mountain region. Hills are found in the Peidmont area. Wheat and rye are grown in the Peidmont area. The land drops at the end of the Peidmont area. This area is called the Fall Line. Rivers that flow across the Fall Line cause waterfalls and rapids.
