Otter – An otter is an animal that moves smoothly through the water.

Alligator – An alligator is a big creature that lives in the swamp.

Right Brown Thrasher – A Brown Thrasher is a bird that is brown.  It is the state bird of Georgia.

Timber Rattler – A timber rattler is a mean snake.

Diamondback Rattler – A Diamondback ratter is a snake that looks real dangerous.  Be careful if you’re in the woods.

White Tail Deer – A white tail deer is a calm animal that leaps through the woods.

Black bear – A black bear is a bear that is the strongest animal in the swamp.

Bald Eagle – A Bald Eagle is an animal that is strong and is a symbol of the United States.  Some have been seen in Georgia.

Fern – A green plant that grows in damp areas.

Bush – A thick plant that doesn’t grow as tall as most trees.

Sunflower – A tall plant with a big yellow flower at the top. 

Daisy – A pretty plant.

Poison Ivy – A poisonous plant that makes people itch if they touch it.

Poison Oak – Another poisonous plant that can make people itch if they touch it.

Cypress Tree – A tall type of tree that grows in damp or swampy places.

It has kind of a grayish green color.

Pine Tree – A tall tree that grows in lots of places.  More than one kind of pine tree grows in Georgia.  Pine trees have pinecones on them.  They have needles instead of leaves.

Grass – A short type of plant.  It has a green color.  Georgia has many kinds of grass.
