The 1st Amendment guarantees the freedom of religion and freedom of speech, and of the press, and the ability to assemble and to petition the government for grievances. The 2nd Amendment states that the people can keep and bear weapons. The 3rd Amendment states that no soldier at anytime can stay without permission in another persons home. The 4th Amendment states that no ones home or possessions can be searched or taken away without a warrant from the police. The 5th Amendment states that everyone deserves a trial by jury and that a person cannot be a witness against themselves and property cannot be taken for public use. The 6th Amendment states that all people have a right to a speedy and public trial and have the right to counsel for his defense. The 7th Amendment states that if the value in controversy is more than twenty dollars, jury shall try it. The 8th Amendment states that no bail or fines can be excessive, or cruel and unusual punishment given. The 9th Amendment states that the enumeration of the Constitution of specific rights shall not be mislead to deny or disparage others retained by the people. The 10th Amendment states that the powers are reserved to the states or the people of the states that are not given to the United States by the Constitution.
