John F. Kennedy always liked to help others and he thought everyone should be treated equal. He helped civil rights fighter Martin Luther king, Jr. send the National Guard of the South also known as (NGS) to, protect black students at southern universities. He made his famous Civil Rights address on national television and radio. He intervened when the Governor of Alabama, George Wallace tried to stop two black students Vivian Malone and James Hood from enrolling. After that, civil rights fighters A. Phillip Randolph and Baynard Rustin gave President Kennedy an idea, which he later called the Civil Rights Act.
