Some stars are twins. They are double stars. They are two stars that are really close together. The Big Dipper has a set of double stars in its handle.

Stars can be different colors. The color depends on the temperature. A cold star is red. A warm star is yellow or orange. Hot stars are white, and the hottest stars are blue. Some of the brightest stars are Sirius, Canopus, Alpha Centauri, Arcturus, and Vega.
