Stars are different sizes. The biggest ones are called supergiants. They are a lot bigger than the sun. Betelgeuse is one of the largest stars that we can see. Giant stars are also big. If they are red, they are called red giants.

Stars that are the size of our sun are medium-sized stars.

Small stars are called dwarfs. They are smaller than the earth. Some of them are white. They are white dwarfs. One of the smallest stars is Van Naamen’s Star.
