By: Blake

The Roaring 20’s had a huge growth spurt. New inventions were taking place and at a fast pace. Inventions like the band-aid, hair dryer, radio, automobiles, and much more. These would all help improve the everyday lives of Americans.

The radio was an important invention. It brought people of America together by communication. In 1922, the first public radio broadcasting station opened in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It was a huge success. Everyone enjoyed sitting around and listening to the radio.

The band-aid and the hair dryer along with other household products appealed to the American families. Some of the other household products were Kool-aid, Q-Tips, and the Bread Slicer. Many women began to see the need for more things in their daily lives. As advertising began to rise, so did the sales of the items being advertised.

The automobile assembly line was a significant invention for the automobile. Henry Ford invented the assembly line.  In the 1920’s people were enjoying their new inventions. Advertising became a big part of the automobile business. These advertisements helped the sale of the automobile rise.
