Ms. Rhodes' Tigers

Speech is Grrrrrrrreat!!!!

Hi! My name is Shelly Rhodes. I am the Speech Pathologist here at Wacona Elementary School. I have been teaching for 19 years in the Ware County School School System. I love to spend time with family, go to the movies, travel, and most of all teach children. It is my hope that this website will serve as a source of information for parents, teachers, and students concerning speech and language development and intervention.

The following are tips to enhance your child's
speech language skills.

  • Talk about things you do.
  • Talk about places you go.
  • Answer questions your child asks you.
  • Listen to your child.
  • Read and talk about books.
  • Tell stories together
  • Play games with your child.
  • Play word games together.
  • Pretend with your child.
  • Praise your child.
