Most people believe fool’s gold is not valuable.  Paleontologist  have proved them wrong.  Perfect fossils have been found hiding in the worthless gold.

Perfect fossils have also been found hiding in sap.  Amber is hardened sap, otherwise known as resin. The sap is in pine and other evergreen trees.  Many million years ago insects like ants, and spiders, which are arachnids got stuck in the sap that oozed out of the trees.

Perfect fossils have also been found frozen in ice.  Many wooly mammoths bones have been in ice for a long time.  Some of these mammoths that have been perfectly preserved in museums.

Perfect fossils have been found in the tar pits in California. The remains of ground sloths, mammoths, saber tooth tigers, eagles, bears, antelope, geese, and camels have all been found in the tar pits.
