Marsh - An area of soft, wet,
low-lying land, characterized by grassy vegetation and often forming a
transition zone between water and land.
Swamp - forested wetlands. Like marshes, they are often found near rivers
or lakes and have mineral soil that drains very slowly.
Coast - The part of
the land adjoining or near the
ocean
Mountain - A natural
elevation of the earth's surface having considerable mass, generally steep
sides, and a height greater than that of a hill.
Atlantic Ocean -
The Atlantic Ocean is the second largest
ocean and partially borders Georgia
Piedmont -
the plateau between the coastal plain and the
Appalachian Mountains
Alligator – an animal that lives
in the Georgia swamp
Macon – a city that is in the
Georgia piedmont area
Pine tree – a tree that grows in
all of Georgia
Sea
turtle – a reptile that lives on the coast of Georgia
