All living things go through life cycles. They are born, they live, and they die. There are stages at each part of the life cycle. Some living things go through a metamorphosis and look very different when they are adults than when they are babies. Others just grow and look almost the same when they are adults as when they are babies. Baby animals are sometimes called by different names than when they are adults. Some animals are born alive; others are hatched. Even plants go through a life cycle, but it is very different than the ones animals go through. Take a look at some of the life cycles and see how they are the same and how they are different.
