| People are born alive. They are called babies when they are
little. When they are born they can see, but not very well. They
cannot sit up by themselves. Their muscles are not strong.
Over time they grow. They learn how to hold their heads up. They start to see well. When they are about one year old they start to walk. A little after that they start to talk.
They grow taller and learn how to run and use their hands really well. When they grow up they are called adults. People can live to be very old unless they get sick. Some people live to be eighty or even older.
